Device Manager & Network Connections found empty

If Device Manager & Network Connections found empty, please follow the steps given below


Step 1:


  • Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK
  • Double-click Plug and Play
  • In the Startup Type list, click Automatic, and then click OK & restart the computer


If you have the same issue, please follow step 2


Step 2:

  • Click Start, click Run, type Regedit and then click OK
  • Navigate to the following key “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum”
  • Right click on Enum > click Permissions > Click Advanced > Click Add > type Everyone and click OK
  • Click on Full Permissions > Click OK 


  • Reset permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects > click OK & restart the computer

 If the same issue persist, please follow step 3


Step 3:


Download the hotfix package :


  • Restart the computer in Safe Mode
  • Double-click the hotfix package. This step extracts the Fixccs.exe file
  • Select a location to which you want to save the file
  • Click OK when the file is extracted
  • Locate and double-click the Fixccs.exe file


A Command Prompt window opens, and the necessary tasks are performed. The Command Prompt window closes automatically after all tasks are completed.


When the necessary tasks are completed, restart the computer in normal mode and check the status.
