About xcopy:

 

   Xcopy is a powerful version of the copy command with additional features; has the capability of moving files, directories, and even whole drives from one location to another.

 

Where can we use this ?

 

   As mentined above xcopy has the capability of moving files, directories, and even whole drives from one location to another. so this cmd is very useful in the scenario where we get ” Start menu folders empty “ due to the spyware’s like ” system check, System fix, Windows Recovery “.

 

xcopy syntax

 

    XCOPY { source } {destination} { /e /i /h }

  • /e –  Copies directories and subdirectories, including empty ones.
  • /i  –  If destination does not exist and copying more than one file, assumes that destination must be a directory
  • /h – Copies hidden and system files also.
