After the successful launch of Windows 8 Microsoft is coming with a new project. Yes it is nothing else Microsoft Office for Android and iOS . Microsoft Office is finally coming out for Android and iOS early next year. It is going to be real soon. It seems Microsoft’s will release Office versions for Android and iOS in early 2013.
Microsoft may bring limited Office functionality to Android and iOS smartphones and tablets in 2013.
It’s real and it’s coming to iOS first
The Office software equire a Microsoft account and will launch with the ability to view documents. if you have an Office 365 account then you will be able to edit the document as well. You need to purchase the app to get the Office 365 account.
Microsoft Office will be made available to Android and iOS devices first as free applications. These free apps, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, will require a Microsoft account. They will be limited to read-only, meaning Android and iOS device owners won’t be able to make changes to the documents, presentations or spreadsheets, unless and until they purchased it.
No more details or specifications about this product is available currently.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard “iOS Office is coming!” rumors, But it seems this is definitely more legitimate than previous go-rounds.
In a recent Microsoft press release company’s Czech Republic subsidiary revealed that Office Mobile apps for Android and iOS would be made available from March 2013. Office Mobile for iOS will arrive first in late February or early March, with an Android version due in May.
Microsoft has not made an official announcement just yet about the expansion of its mobile Office presence, but it certainly seems like a natural extension of the company’s mobile strategy. Of course,
Microsoft may be forced to do this because they know it will take years (if ever) to overhaul iOS and Android with Windows 8 tablets.
