Unable to printer “Printer spooler service error: 1068”

 

Click on Start -> Run -> type services.msc -> OK

 

In the Services window locate and double click Printer Spooler service and try to start it, if failed

 

In the Service window verify “RPC” service is started, “If no” start RPS service and try starting Printer Spooler, “If yes” follow the below instructions

 

Make sure I386 folder located either in c:\i386 or in c:\windows\i386

 

If there’s no I386 folder presented in that location, ask the customer for OS disc and use the first command given below, but change the drive letter as how its listed

 

Click Start/All Programs/Accessories. Right click ‘Command Prompt’ and select ‘Run As Administrator’. Click ‘Continue’ on the UAC prompt (If requested)

 

EXPAND C:\I386\SPOOLSV.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

 

or

 

EXPAND C:\WINDOWS\I386\SPOOLSV.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

 

Close the command prompt and restart the computer

 

Now Click on Start -> Run -> type services.msc -> OK

Locate Printer Spooler service, start the service and it should start at this time and the printer will start printing.
